Mr. Mumm came to the firm in 1986 and became
a partner in 1990. Prior to joining McAloon & Friedman, Mr. Mumm
was a prosecutor at the office of the District Attorney, Kings
County. Between 1979 and 1986, he prosecuted cases involving arson
and economic fraud, rape and homicide. He tried over 50 cases
to verdict, including 22 murder cases as a Senior Trial Attorney
in the homicide bureau.
Mr. Mumm has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale Hubbell. In addition to hospitals and doctors, he has represented nursing homes and oral surgeons in the New York metropolitan area. Additionally, Mr. Mumm has represented physicians and dentists in disciplinary hearings before New York State Licensing agencies, and has represented hospital and nursing homes in claims involving violations of State and Federal law. He also has represented the interests of insurance companies in bad faith litigation.
